Our Journey

2018

Foundation

LumaX Capital was founded in 2018 with a bold vision to revolutionize the crypto and blockchain investment landscape. Our founders, recognizing the transformative power of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency, established the firm to identify and nurture groundbreaking Web3 projects, DeFi protocols, and crypto startups. From day one, we committed to building long-term partnerships within the crypto ecosystem and creating sustainable value for all stakeholders in the decentralized economy.

2019

First Major Investment

In our first full year, we closed our inaugural crypto fund of $500 million and made strategic investments in 15 high-potential blockchain projects and DeFi protocols. Our focus on deep technical due diligence, smart contract audits, and hands-on portfolio management quickly established our reputation in the crypto investment community. We also opened our first international office in London, marking the beginning of our global expansion in the blockchain space.

2020

DeFi & NFT Focus

Recognizing the explosive growth of decentralized finance, we launched our dedicated DeFi and NFT fund, investing $200 million in DeFi protocols, NFT marketplaces, and Web3 infrastructure projects. This strategic pivot positioned us at the forefront of crypto innovation, supporting projects developing breakthrough DeFi solutions, NFT platforms, and blockchain technologies that revolutionize digital asset ownership and financial services.

2021

European Expansion

Expanded our European presence by establishing offices in Berlin and Paris, strengthening our ability to identify and support innovative companies across the continent. We reached $2 billion in assets under management and celebrated our first successful exit, validating our investment strategy and operational approach.

2022

Blockchain Technology Leadership

Launched the LumaX Blockchain Innovation Lab, a dedicated initiative to identify and support early-stage crypto projects with disruptive blockchain technologies. We invested heavily in Layer 2 solutions, cross-chain protocols, and blockchain infrastructure, positioning ourselves as leaders in next-generation crypto investments. Our portfolio grew to over 200 blockchain projects across 30 countries.

2023

Asia-Pacific Expansion

Opened our Singapore office, establishing a strategic presence in the Asia-Pacific region. This expansion enabled us to tap into one of the world's most dynamic innovation ecosystems. We also reached $5 billion in assets under management and achieved 50 successful portfolio exits, demonstrating strong returns for our investors.

2024

Green Blockchain Initiative

Launched our comprehensive Green Blockchain Initiative, committing $1 billion to sustainable crypto projects and energy-efficient blockchain solutions. We became early supporters of Proof-of-Stake networks and established partnerships with leading green crypto organizations. Our portfolio projects collectively transitioned to more energy-efficient consensus mechanisms, reducing blockchain carbon footprint significantly.

2025

Industry Recognition

Achieved significant milestones: crossed $8 billion in assets under management, expanded our portfolio to 400+ companies, and received multiple industry awards including "Top Investment Firm of the Year" and "Best Healthcare Investor." We also launched our venture debt division to provide additional financing options for growth-stage companies.
